LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network on social media that focuses on career development.

This platform is free but you can join the LinkedIn Premium version at a subscription fee of SGD 39.99 per month which include marketing, recruitment and other products.

Although LinkedIn has been around for almost 2 decades, I started using it personally in 2020.

You can build your resume in LinkedIn, search for jobs, set job alerts, network with people in the same industry or industry that you hope to join, post updates or articles to enhance your professional reputation and communicate directly with other people using the messaging function.

According to BusinessofApps, LinkedIn generated $8 billion revenue in 2020 and has 756 million members.

In Asia Pacific, there are 206 million users. The largest age demographic on LinkedIn is 25-34.

No matter how old you are, it is recommended for all job seekers to have a LinkedIn account.

There are clients who reached out to me through my LinkedIn as well. It is a good place for B2B and B2C businesses.
